6-9 am
Low tide is 8:02am. Our goal is to meet at 6 am and get out to the ocean site by 6:15 am so we have time to get through the cave/channel safely before the tide rises.
9:30am
We will go into town to get a little coffee / eat breakfast.
11:00am
We'll get back to camp and learn how to dry the seaweed you just harvested so that you can take them home more dry.
12-2pm - LUNCH
We will learn to cook a couple of seaweed-based recipes that we will enjoy with lunch, and then eat lunch.
We will have free time after 2pm
You can take a siesta, and/or there are a lot of things you can do in Mendocino, including hanging out at the mouth of the Big River, going into town to explore the shops and museums nearby, and/or hit-up the hot tubs at Sweetwater Inn.
OPTIONAL:
7-8pm (time frame is flexible- we can do it earlier if most folks would like that)
We will prepare two different seaweed spa treatments - a clay wakame facial mask and a turkish towel hair rinse, and discuss other treatments.
